Hey Hannah,
I was under the impression all Biomedical Sciences courses were accredited...? Does that mean the Biomedical Sciences courses that aren't accredited are of no value? Perhaps not of no value at all, but how much of a difference does it make whether courses are accredited or not? How will this have an impact on students who are studying Biomedical Sciences at a uni whose BMS course isn't accredited?
I'm slightly worried now, some of the uni's I'm considering applying to, to do a BMS course, aren't accredited by the Insititute of Biomedical Science.
Pls tell me i needn't worry!!
Thanks.
Esha

Courses which are accredited cover the basis of becoming an NHS biomedical scientist while unaccredited courses do not necessarily cover this course criteria. It's a double edged sword, I'm on an accredited course where there isn't a single optional module, with tonnes of laboratory hours and a lot of biochemistry/etc. Unaccredited courses often allow for much more choice in what you learn about and allow you to pursue topics of personal interest in biological sciences under the headline of biomedical sciences. Personally I'd rather be on a course with a bit more choice but I suppose it's not the end of the world.

Hi,
I'd appreciate any information on the following :-

1.) A list of Universities known for their programs in Biomedical Sciences (hopefully showing the top 3) in the UK

2.)Job opportunities in the UK

3.)Universities known for their Teaching(Education) Programs.

4.)Likelihood of an international student being able to land a job through the NHS in the UK

Thanks!!
Vishna
